The first meeting goes more calmly when you know more about the client than the address of the flat. A questionnaire sent ahead lets them answer in their own time, and lets you arrive with real questions.

Why ask ahead of the meeting

In a meeting the client answers on the spot, and some things only come back to them later. Given the questions beforehand, they can think, ask the people they live with and look for photos.

The meeting is then free for what needs your judgement, instead of taking down the basics.

What to ask

A questionnaire does not have to be long. It is enough to cover these areas:

  • The rooms the project covers, and what matters most to the client in each of them.
  • Who lives in the home and what an ordinary day looks like. Ask separately about children and about accessibility needs.
  • What stays: appliances and furniture the client already owns or has already bought, with dimensions and a photo.
  • Inspiration: photos and links, each with a note on what the client likes about it.
  • Budget and floor area, so that you talk about the same thing from the start.

How it works in Projado

In the project you generate the questionnaire link and pass it to the client. The client creates no account: they only confirm it is them, with a code sent to their e-mail address or with a PIN you give them.

Answers save themselves, so the client can stop and come back later. When they send it, you are notified and the answers are waiting in the project, laid out room by room.
